There has always been a gap between photos and videos. With photos, you can capture the moment and be awed with all the amazing little details, frozen in time. Video in the other end, captures movements and sound that you can never experience from a photograph. The idea of bringing both elements together to narrow down the gap has been around for some time, and has become even more practical with today’s modern DSLRs.

Koghini & Raghu was my first wedding that I’ve shot with both video and photo. As a photographer, my objective is to compliment my photos with video without jeopardizing the quality of my work. I had to plan my shot for both video and photo on my feet. How is this photo going to fit into my album? What scenes should I shoot in video to compliment them? How am I going to use the sound captured when I edit the clips later? It wasn’t easy but it was definitely rewarding. I’ve never really understood the challenges faced by videographers, until I experienced it myself first hand.
